Snowdrops

Saturday 16th January 2021

Good morning all,

Sadly as well as Covid – 19, there are other concerns. From Celia a reminder that scams are still very much part of our lives. Please be aware that opportunists and criminals can take advantage of all of us when we are self-isolating during this period of lockdown.

Book Recommendations

From Fernande:

My Australian friend recommended this book recently but I have not even purchased a copy yet.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a historical novel by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows that was published in 2008. It was turned into a movie in 2018 featuring Lily James as Juliet Ashton.

The book is set in 1946 and is an epistolary novel, composed of letters written from one character to another.

** I saw the movie and loved it!
