Dragon Hall Trust intermediate group

The Dragon Hall Trust intermediate group is a drop in available for young people aged 12 to 16. The club runs on a Friday from 4.00-6.00pm.

This club is set up to support the transition period that all young people face after moving into secondary school, it is designed by young people giving them all the tools to take control in their own setting.

This area has 4 primary schools but no secondary school – the children from our area go to any one of 14 different secondary schools in 9 London boroughs. The Inters club enables the friendships forged in primary school to be continued.

At Dragon Hall we introduce innovative technology to young people in a way that can support their development.

This can be seen through the music project, Radio shows they produce and the new tech sessions we have such as:

  • 3D printing
  • Oculus Rift
  • 3Doodlers.

We closely with our other organisation Soapbox which has premises in Islington.

In collaboration with all the new exciting technology we do, we still run the traditional youth club that gives young people the chance to further relationships with their peers.

Open access and general activities such as:

  • arts & craft
  • cooking
  • sports
  • offsite trips

are still regularly seen in our programs.

The club is run in Dragon Hall’s green room, with numbers reaching 25-30 young people the club has a great atmosphere for young people, setting them up to achieve their full potential in all we have to offer.
