Good morning all,
I hope that your weekend is going well so far.
Apologies for not sending out an updated activity timetable sooner. I moved house last week and things have been a little bit chaotic.
A recent report suggest that almost four in 10 people are considering a house move and are now more inclined to pick a countryside location than they were before Covid-19 struck. Has anyone else moved recently? Or thinking of moving, I would love to hear from you.

Enjoy a relaxing and restorative experience even though you will be walking around for hours. However, take a break on one of the many benches around the gardens. There is always so much to do, including the rhododendron walk, the glorious peonies in the Kew kitchen garden and the atmosphere of calm and serenity all around.
Tour of Borough Market and Drink
Thursday 29th July
12.00 – 2.00 Tour of Borough Market and Drink
Join Chris and myself on a tour of Borough Market, one of the largest and oldest food markets in London, dating back to at least the 12th century. The present buildings were built in the 1850s, and today the market mainly sells speciality foods to the general public. After the tour join us for a drink at the George Pub Southwark, an authentic 17th-century coaching inn and pub with oak beams and large courtyard seating area.
Please note that this event is limited to six people.
Social Afternoon at Dragon Hall
Thursday 5th August
13.00 – 15.00 Social Afternoon at Dragon Hall
Chris Barlow will be providing an informal talk entitled ‘Brief history of the British seaside’. Seaside resorts first developed in Britain in the 1700s when the practice of ‘taking the waters’, popular at spa towns, extended to the coast. Doctors began to prescribe immersion in seawater for the treatment of conditions like rabies, gout, hysteria, and melancholy!
Join us for a free simple lunch afterwards
Please note that this event is limited to 12 people.
