Carmen Workshop

Carmen Workshop

Saturday 28th January 10:00-11:30am

Sadly I was unable to get any free tickets to this years Carmen performance at the ENO. However, I have been offered TEN FREE tickets for a special workshop this Saturday (28th) morning.

The workshop will be lead by singer and facilitator Aga Serugo-Lugo who will teach a section from ‘The Habanera’ and lead some creative song-writing activities based on the music of Carmen. We also have ENO opera singer Idunnu Munch with us who will be assisting Aga and singing for us. She will be accompanied by pianist Caroline Jaya Ratman. We will also be joined by our staff director, Ashen Gupta, who will lead Q&A at the end of the session.

After the session there will be some drinks and snacks and the group will have a chance to chat with Aga, Caroline, Idunnu and Ashen.

Bench at Kew Gardens

Visit to Kew Gardens

Wednesday 22nd February – 12pm entrance

I don’t want to return to the world outside these Gardens. All I want is to notice the dew on a leaf…..

A visit to Kew Gardens, is always a treat. It may be cold but the Gardens are still thriving with winter greenery. Take a stroll down Holly Walk near the Temperate House to see one of Europe’s most comprehensive holly collections, planted in 1874. Spanning 40 acres, it’s home to a diverse collection of trees including towering redwoods and rare treasures such as our Japanese Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga japonica). This is the perfect time of year to admire them, particularly when dusted with winter frost on a chilly day.

Please do not visit me at Dragon Hall. I work at different venues throughout the week and I might not be there.

It is essential that all events/workshops or classes are booked in advance. If you would like to attend an event, please ALWAYS contact me beforehand.

Please note that all payments for classes are paid online via our website. If you have any difficulty with this, I am happy to assist. But again, this must be done beforehand and booked with me.
