Patterns of Perception

Wednesday 10th June 2020 – Day Seventy Eight

Good morning all, hope that your night was a good one.

I was talking to a friend over the weekend, a very wise and dear lady who I met many years ago. During the conversation, I shared how worried I was (the small things that seem to add up). She paused and then said:  “Worry is like a rocking chair: It gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere,”. I like that saying, so this week….I am going to worry LESS!

What can I share with you today?

INFORMATION

From Dawn P (Queens Gallery)

Tomorrow at 2pm via a Zoom meeting, Dawn Purkiss will be leading us in a fascinating study of paintings held within the Royal Collection. Together we will be looking at two paintings each week examining, for example: style, colour, mood, composition, symbolism, mythology, fashion, and medium. Dawn will help us de-mystify a painting teaching us how to ‘read’ an art work.

The two paintings that Dawn will be talking about are:

LIGHTER SIDE OF LIFE

From Jerry: (shared words of wisdom – designed to give you a lift)From Jerry: (shared words of wisdom – )

Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug.   When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.”

Today, after I watched my dog get run over by a car, I sat on the side of the road holding him and crying.  And just before he died, he licked the tears off my face.
