SCAM ALERT (ANOTHER ONE)

“I got a missed call from 02 03 467 1332 and when I called back the lady claimed to be from HMRC. They also left me a voicemail threatening County Court Action” Post from Nextdoor App.

BEA’S RULES TO AVOID SCAMS:
NEVER GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OUT WHEN YOU RECEIVE UNEXPECTED TEXTS AND PHONE CALLS FROM THE ROYAL MAIL, BANKS AND/OR INSURANCE PROVIDERS. IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT, GOOGLE THE COMPANY NAME AND CALL THEM DIRECTLY TO ASK IF THE MESSAGE IS GENUINE. DON’T USE THE CONTACT INFORMATION ON THE MESSAGE AS THAT WILL BE FAKE.

YOU CAN ALSO COPY AND PASTE THE MESSAGE INTO GOOGLE AND, USUALLY, IF OTHERS HAVE ALSO RECEIVED THE MESSAGE AND HAVE BEEN SCAMMED YOU WILL FIND INFORMATION ABOUT THE SCAM.
