I’m Leah and I will be helping John with the Newsletter. Some of you may know me as the Manager of The Phoenix Garden; we run gardening workshops and social events in partnership with Dragon Hall. I also help out with John’s activities from time to time and may have met you during a Tai Chi or Flamenco class (apologies if you were unfortunate enough to witness my two left feet first hand!).
I have been trying lots of new recipes this week (I have shared one with you in the email below) and have been really enjoying honing my cooking skills during the lockdown. Are there any new hobbies or skills you have learned recently? I’d love to hear what you have been up to, so please feel free to send me an email and let me know!

Both are free and available to view 5 days after premiering.
Thank you to Chris Barlow for sharing this online event with us.
A slide of bread (cookie size)
Spread the cheese over the bread
In a frying pan:
Fry the bacon with the olive oil (very small quantity of oil and the bacon)
Fry the onion (small quantity and add a pinch of sugar)
Put over the cheese the bacon and on the top the onion and finish!

Many thanks to Dominic Pinto for this recipe contribution!
Goat’s Cheese and Caramelised Onion Tartlets
This is what I cooked up over the weekend!
It was straightforward to make and very tasty- I would highly recommend giving it a go if you’re a goat’s cheese fan like me.
