Live Music Now

Have you lived in the Holborn area for many years?

Are you interested in participating in a group to talk about your memories of living in the Holborn area? Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre – in partnership with Reading Friends – will be running a series of four weekly sessions on-line in March.

They are looking for six people to participate who have lived in the Holborn area for many years, ideally since childhood. Each session will last around one and a half hours. Historic photographs of Holborn will be presented and extracts from the archives and local history books read as talking points for discussion.

Each week will focus on a different aspect of local life. The proposed themes are: childhood, work, shops, and entertainment. It is intended at the end to produce a booklet recording the memories for each participant and for the archives.

The sessions will take place using Zoom and will run from 11am to 12.30pm on Tuesdays. There will be an introductory session on Tuesday 2nd March with the four main sessions following on the 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th of the month.

If you are interested in participating, could you kindly contact Kate Brolly at Kate.Brolly@camden.gov.uk
