The British Museum

British Museum Exhibition

Luxury and power: Persia to Greece
I have ten FREE tickets for the new exhibition at the British Museum on Sunday 30th April at 1pm
Drawing on dazzling objects from Afghanistan to Greece, this exhibition moves beyond the ancient Greek spin to explore a more complex story about luxury as a political tool in the Middle East and southeast Europe from 550–30 BC.

Stroll through Surrey Quays

Stroll through Surrey Quays

Saturday 29th April: 11:00am

Join Richard and me on Saturday 29th April for a leisurely walk from Canada Water to Tower Hill. We will stroll along the Albion Channel to the river. Take a look at the area termed Rotherhithe Village, which includes St Mary’s Church and The Brunel Museum.

We then follow the Thames as much as we can past “The Crooked House” to Tower Bridge followed by a walk over Tower Bridge to Tower Green. It’s expected the walk will take nearly two hours or so.

Once at Tower Green there is a large Wetherspoons where for those who wish there will be an opportunity to have a coffee or something more substantial.

Meet at Canada Water Station at 11:00 am just outside the small Sainsbury. (as you exit the barriers keep left).

A Two Temple Place & Kakilang Exhibition

State-less 無國界
A Two Temple Place & Kakilang Exhibition

Wednesday 22nd March: 4:30pm

A new exhibition examines the world through the photographic and digital works of internationally acclaimed Southeast and East Asian artists. State-less 無國界 asks what it means to have a complex identity, influenced by background as well as country of origin, how Southeast and East Asian heritage can engage politically, and how it can challenge the wider public.

Please note: this won’t be a guided tour but Two Temple staff will introduce and talk about the exhibition then members can look around at their own pace, staff will be around to answer questions.
