Community Zoom from Royal Collection Trust
Wednesday 1st November, 14:00 – 15:00
Fiona and Amy, from the Royal Collection Trust, will be joined by Karly Allen who will be introducing the drawings of the German artist Hans Holbein. Holbein became famous for his depictions of members of the Court of Henry VIII in the sixteenth century. Karly will examine some of Holbein’s works and techniques and encourage us to look slowly and thoughtfully at the works.
Tea Dance

Come along with your dancing shoes and join Edurne as she leads our next Tea Dance. A mixture of a dance workshop and social dancing, with tunes from the 60’s. 70’s, 80’s and beyond. November’s tea dance is free.

Garden Cinema Film Club: Kind Hearts And Coronets
Thursday 9th November, 15:30 – 17:30
When his mother eloped with an Italian opera singer, Louis Mazzini (Dennis Price) was cut off from her aristocratic family. After the family refuses to let her be buried in the family mausoleum, Louis avenges his mother’s death by attempting to murder every family member (all played by Alec Guinness) who stands between himself and the family fortune. But when he finds himself torn between his longtime love (Joan Greenwood) and the widow of one of his victims (Valerie Hobson), his plans go awry.

Flamenco Class
Every Thursday, 12:00 – 13:00
Come along and have a go at dancing Flamenco. In this soft-shoed class, designed for older adults, we use open posture, soft flamenco dance movements and play simple castanets to keep our muscles active, meet other people and have lots of fun! Give it a try!
Cost £5 per class.

Stroll through Surrey Quays with Richard
Saturday 11th November, 11:00 – 13:00
Join Richard for a leisurely walk from Canada Water to Tower Hill. We will stroll along the Albion Channel to the river. Take a look at the area termed Rotherhithe Village, which includes St Mary’s Church and The Brunel Museum.
We then follow the Thames as much as we can past “The Crooked House” to Tower Bridge followed by a walk over Tower Bridge to Tower Green.
It’s expected the walk will take nearly two hours or so. Once at Tower Green there is a large Wetherspoons, where, for those who wish, there will be an opportunity to have a coffee or something more substantial.
Meet at Canada Water Station at 11am just outside the small Sainsbury (As you exit the barriers, keep left).
