Good morning all,

I hope you had a good weekend. Thank you to everyone who replied to my newsletter over the weekend and sharing with me your plans for Saturday and Sunday. A number of you were watching the funeral and there were others watching the football!

One of my favourite emails was from Jean, who shared the following memory;

“His death brought back memories of when I was a teenager and the Prince officially opened the Bedford club for girls in Emerald Court, off Lambs Conduit Street, in our new building. He spoke to me when I went to retrieve a table tennis ball that was lying between his feet. His aide indicated I should get it, but Miss Wright who ran the club shooed me back, this carried on for a few minutes with me going forward then back. When I eventually picked the ball up, he turned and said “I’ve been hit by many things in my life but this is the first time I’ve been hit by a ping pong ball”.

All of us at Dragon Hall hope you are finding our newsletters interesting and useful. If you have any suggestions please do email me.

John
