Mental health awareness advert

Dragon Hall has been working in partnership with Fitzrovia Youth In Action for over 3 years, producing music videos about drug/alcohol awareness.

To build upon this work we wanted to explore another avenue for our latest project whilst still keeping the focus on our core Digital Inclusion area of video production, delivered through non-formal educational interventions. To achieve this, young people spent the last few weeks creating an advert about mental health.

This was a 6 week project where young people created a script & story board for an advert that would be 2 minutes long. During our Easter Inters Scheme we spent the day filming with 6 young people who showed great ability to film, act and direct the advert.

Having completed this work the group then got to watch their advert at the Fitzrovia Youth In Action showcase event on the 27th March with a crowd of 300 people from across Camden, following this success young people wanted to show the advert to the rest of their peers. The group received great feedback from their peers & Dragon Hall staff.
